My name is Lê Minh Hoàn, i'm the one who don't have nick name in my class. I'm 13 years old. I'm from VietNam. ). I'm a student.
We (me and Tony) are the Vinahouse team. We are in Upper Flyers 202. We are Upper Flyers, my teacher is Mr.Remy. We are learning English at Remisol. We live ing Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam.
What is case 2? Case 2 is for words of wich we don't know the meaning for sure. Example:Orthodox, musketeer, dragoon, zionist (these words are from Tony), scalar, biopsy, annent, zoomorphic, anabolism, antigen, biome, parasite (these words are mine).
we are Honey team, we are in upper flyers 202, we are upper flyers, our teacher is Mr Remi, we are learning English at Remisol, we live in HCM city, VietNam.
My name is Huy, my nickname is Uncle, i am 26 years old, i am Vietnamese, i like listening to music and reading books, i am the captain of the team, i am finding my job.
Last time we had a talk about a new vocabulary activity that we created in class. As a reminder, we talked in our previous video about 2 groups of words. we mentioned the following sentence "we might not know the meaning for sure". we begining our talk today from here. So we are doing part 2. To prevent any kinds of misunderstading, we decided to expande our talk. In this video, we will talk further about the second group of words.
what is case 1
It is about words of which we know the meaning but not for sure. We need to look at their definition in the dictionary to confirm. Its scale is from 1% to 99%. For expande: capitalism, catholic, yankee, hologram. I know their meanings but it doesn't mean I know them well, i can't explain them in detail and maybe i'm wrong the meanings because i don't use them for a long time.
BEGIN OF THE BODY
anything else think it would be useful to set a scale of knowledge from 0% to 100% we will be using this scale to represent in a measurable way how well or how much we know the meaning of words
Ladies and gentlement, good evening. Welcome to Remisol channel. Thank you for choosing and watching our video. Today, we are so happy to meet you again to talk to you about a new interesting topic.
Intro 1: We are the coffee house team. We are in Uper Flyers 202. We are Uper Flyers. Our teacher is Mr.Remy. We are learning English at Remisol. We live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
My name is Hung. My nickname is Goodboy. I am 13 years old. I am Vietnamese. I like playing football and watching TV. I am a student. I am the leader of the team.
Now we understand clearly why we said “might not” in our previous presentation. There are 4 possible cases.
Number 1: we know the meaning of the word, but we aren’t sure.
Number 2: we don’t know the meaning of the word at all.
Number 3: only some members of the team know the meaning of the word.
Number 4: we know the meaning of the word for sure.
What is the third case?
It is for words of which some members of the team know the meaning of the word, and other ones don’t know the meaning of the word at all.
For example: the word “comet”.
In our team, there are 8 people. 5 ones of them know the meaning of the word “comet”. The word “comet” means a big body from the outerspace. And the rest of our team don’t know the meaning of the word “comet” at all.
My name is Tam. My nickname is Tam Tam. My teacher calls me Double Shower. I am 27 years old. I am Vietnamese. I like reading books and watching movies. I am an accountant. I am the captain of the team.
Are you there?
Before examining(HW) these for possible cases in details, we thought it would be useful to set-make-create-build-invent- (HW) a scale of knowledge that will help us have a visual (understanding-representation) of each case. We will set this scale from 0% to 100%. We will be using this scale to represent in a measurable way how well or how much we know the meaning of the word.
Ladies and gentlemen, good evening!
Welcome to Remisol Channel.
Thank you for choosing and watching our video. Today, we are so happy to meet you again to talk to you about a new interesting topic.
We are in Public Speaking 101. We are upper-flyers. Our teacher is Mr.Remy. We are learning English at Remisol. We live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
We are all from Vietnam.
We are the Honey Team.
What is case 4?
Case 4 is for words of which we all know the meaning at all.
For example:astronaut(n):a kind of jobs that people work in the space.
Rocket(n):a kind of transportation that can fly into the space.
Tank(n): a kind of transportation that people use in the war.

Tape is noun, it maybe countable and it maybe uncountable. Noun 1, the letter ‘U’ in square brackets, it means uncountable. It is a strip of paper or other flexible material with a sticky substance on one side, used for sticking things together. Noun 2, two letters ‘U, C’ in square bracket, it means sometime is uncountable and sometime is uncontable. It is a narrow strip of material used for fastening something or as the label. I take these two examples from the dictionary. Example 1: Fix a noti
Example 1: Fix a notice to a wallwith tape. Example 2: The seat covers are held in place by tapes. Now, let’s have a close look at the two examples.
Hello Phuc. Tomorrow I will post my presetation
Khoi! Do you send your presiontation? I can't send it!
Paper is noun, it’s uncountable.
It’s the thin material that you write and draw on and that is also used for wrapping and packing things.
Here are 2 examples of how to use paper in the sentence
Example 1: A piece/sheet of paper a package wrapped in brown paper recycled paper
Example 2: She wrote her name and address on a slip (= a small piece) of paper.
In both examples, the word paper is an uncountable noun
Phuc. That is just your acount. You have to ask Mr. Remy to get you name
Bich Nguyen! You forget questions and answers
Hey, Phuc and Khoi , I lost my work about part 5: closing
Can you help me, Please
Can you write for me ?
TRINH, can you show me how to do the conclusion, i don't know how to do it
TRINH, you or me do the closing and conclusion?
Teacher, today i'm not at class. I'm tired
So what is case 3?
The third case is for words of which some members of the team know the meaning of the word, and other ones don’t.
How can we apply our knowledge scale to this specific case?
Any word of this type would have an avarage value on our knowledge scale.
Why is an average value?
The reason is simple. Because case 3 is for a team, not for a person. As you know, for a team, we need to find an average value, not a certain value. An average value can represent how well the
Why is an average value?
The reason is simple. Because case 3 is for a team, not for a person. As you know, for a team, we need to find an average value, not a certain value. An average value can represent how well the whole team knows the meaning of the word.
Can you give us any example?
Sure. For example: the word “comet”.
A team has 10 people. 3 ones of them know the meaning of the word “comet”. We call group 1. And the rest, 7 people don’t know the meaning of the word “comet”. We call group 2.
In group 1, let’s take a person. For this person, the word “comet” takes a value of 100% because he knows the meaning of the word “comet”. So, for group 1, the word “comet” takes 3 values of 100%.
In group 2, let’s take a person. For this person,
In group 2, let’s take a person. For this person, the word “comet” takes a value of 0% because he doesn’t know the meaning of the word “comet”. So, for group 2, the word “comet” takes 7 values of 0%..
Now, we add all values. The total is 300%. Then we devide by the number of values, 10. An average value is 30%.
So, a value of 30% represents how well the team knows the meaning of the word “comet”.
